331 LEVEL II LATIN (3)
1 CREDIT
This course is the second half of the elementary level of study. This year you will significantly increase your knowledge of Latin vocabulary and grammatical structures, with special emphasis on verbs. You’ll also take a much broader look at Roman culture. Our readings will take us to Roman Britain, where political intrigue awaits! We’ll also visit the fabulous city of Alexandria, the capital of Ancient Egypt, and study the lives of famous people such as Cleopatra, Julius Caesar and Mark Antony. We’ll explore how Rome’s provincial system served to maintain her vast wealth and prosperity. Many activities, slides and videotapes will once again be used to complement our language studies, and to help you develop a sincere appreciation for Roman civilization.
